Something funny happened last Sunday. I was taking pictures at Ghent for my blog as usual. For this time, I went to platform eleven and twelve at the station of Ghent-Saint-Peter's because it is the most modern part of the trainstation and it has beautiful lighting. The platform is entirely surrounded by glass in different soft colours. The middle of the floor is also made of mat glass, which is cool if you are heading to this platform. Before you go upstairs, you can see footsteps of people who are standing on the glass. It's something rather mysterious.

There was a lot of movement at the station because FACTS ended that weekend. This is a comic con at Expo Ghent for all people who have a fervour for fantasy, animation, comics, toys and Sci-Fi. A man in spidercostume, Robin Hood and so many more people dressed as a certain character passed by. I took some photos and some of them even posed, for instance Daphne & Fred from Scoobi Doo. You could feel a happy atmosphere at the entire station.

I had the idea to photograph people who came out of a train. You never know who would come out of it. A train arrives and I have my camera ready. The doors open and someone says immediatly when they see me "Take a picture of us. We want to get famous!". So I do, of course. Two cool guys come to my friend and me and ask me why I'm taking pictures. I explain them in my best English (which isn't that good) that I have an account on instagram with all my photos on it. We had a little conversation with them. They sounded a bit American, but maybe their English was just very good. The one who said that I had to photograph them asked me if they had to pay for it. I laughed and said that most people don't even know that I'm taking photos of them. I want my photos to be spontanious and not posed. This unexpected conversation with those two strangers made my day (together with all the dressed people of course) and I couldn't stop smiling while I was heading back home.
